you can see how many different bikes I had raced in the '09 season. Had a couple of runs out in BSB SuperStk on Roy's 1198, raced Mark Hanna's GP450, rode lots of Chris Wilson's classic beauties and still found time to take 'Gordon' on holidat to Assen.

in 2008, from racing 'new' classic Molnar Manx Nortons to Peter Day's truly iconic FZR400 and the 'Smith Sisters' unique GP1 Lung machine - all came together to make a great 2009 calendar.

and made his debut in the 2008 calendar; together with the Mali Jawa from the Euro Supermono series in 2007 and 'Bill' the R1200s features as I'd just started coaching on him that year.

a varied 2005 season offered lots of great photos for the calendar. From Euro events in GSXR Cup and Supermono to racing the 'other' Mike Edwards Raptor in Minitwins. Oh yes, and that was the year I smashed one of Garry McCoy's Petronas bikes to pieces.

My 2004 desk calendar celebrated having completed 21 years in racing. This vintage item was illustrated with photos of some of my favourite bikes.

this was the first one we did back in 2002 with all the photos being of me racing endurance with Phase One by Andrew Holyoake. Anyone out there still got one of these?

I never actually like to “sell” my desk calendars, but this year even 2nd class post is going to cost me £1.10 to send each one out!

weather this year and considering it's nearly November me and my coaching client are not having such a bad outing at Cadwell today.

Daytona boots!

Daytona Boots - great factory repair facility

I personally wouldn't wear anything else - but I do give them quite a hard time, with me riding many thousands of 'on track' miles each season when coaching and racing.
In fact, on a coaching day I put my Daytonas on about 8am and they're then on for the rest of the day until 5:30pm!

I recently sent a pair back to the factory for repairs rather than ask for a new pair of 'outers' - when they returned, I couldn't believe what a fantastic job Helmut had done with all the repairs.
